FAQ

Everything you need to know about IQ LAB.

Questions we hear from energy managers, CFOs and operations teams before they get started.

Self-serve onboarding is available across all tiers — the platform guides you through connecting your data, setting up sites and running your first validation. Guided onboarding with the IQ LAB team is included on Plus and Enterprise. For portfolios with more than 10 sites, onboarding is quoted separately as part of your Enterprise setup. Most customers are up and running with their first findings within a few days of connecting.

Yes. Partner arrangements sit under Enterprise and are configured individually — not a fixed published tier. This covers brokers, energy consultants, embedded network operators and retailers running IQ LAB as a white-label service. Referral, reseller and white-label structures are all available. Talk to the partnerships team to start a conversation.

On Plus and Enterprise, the IQ LAB team is available to assist or run the process alongside you if you prefer. The platform is designed to be fully self-serve, but most customers want team support for their first tender. After that, they go self-serve. Basic customers can run tenders using their allocated credit but team assistance is available on Plus and above.

Yes. Basic gives you automated invoice validation — checking that rates and charges match your contract. Plus adds advanced validation including tariff analysis, network charge review and deeper demand insights. On Enterprise, Bill IQ validation works across your entire portfolio in aggregate. The finding is the same on all tiers; the depth of what sits underneath it grows as you move up.

Both work. Bill upload is the fastest way to get started — you can upload and see a comparison or validation result within minutes. CDR connection gives you more data and more accurate analysis over time, particularly for load profiling and C&I tender packs. Most customers start with uploads and connect via CDR once they're comfortable with the platform.

Additional credits are available to purchase at any time on Basic and Plus — you're not locked out of running a tender. The platform notifies you when your credit balance is low. Credits are per year and don't roll over into the next subscription year, so it's worth using them before your renewal date. Contact the team to purchase additional credits and they're added immediately.

The Free tier is a permanent plan, not a time-limited trial. It gives you platform access for up to 3 electricity sites with dashboard previews and bill comparison functionality indefinitely. If you want full access to a paid tier before committing, we can also arrange a trial period on Basic or Plus — talk to us and we'll set that up.

You pay a monthly fee per meter connected to your account. A meter is a connection point at a site — most sites have one main interval meter, though sites with submetering or multiple connection points may have more. Pricing is based on the meters active on your plan, subject to the minimum meter requirement for your tier. The per-meter rate is agreed when you set up and follows the Pricing Schedule in your agreement.
